GIVING  OPPORTUNITIES  

La Jolla Country Day is a non-profit with a 501(c)(3) distinction. The school's Parents' Association is a separate non-profit who works solely in support of LJCDS.

ANNUAL GIVING

Country Day relies on annual gifts to help sustain and balance the school's annual operating budget. There are two components to annual giving:

The Country Day Fund is the foremost important of the school's fundraising efforts. It provides the essential unrestricted revenue critical in balancing the school's $24 million annual operating budget. The Fund provides annual support for pgorams such as field trips, visiting artists and guests, tuition assistance, technology in the classroom, and diverse community service opportunities.

Restricted Gifts help fund specific programs, events, or items that add to the Country Day experience for students on campus. Examples of restricted gifts might be a grant for tuition assistance, funds for a specific arts or athletic activity, or money to purchase new library books.

The Parents' Association holds fund raisers throughout the year including an annual gala that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for Country Day.
