Seventy-three students and faculty members will be traveling to Washington D.C. to attend the inauguration. Students Remy Reya and Landon Nutt, both ’17, were recently interviewed by NBC 7.
Remy Reya shared in the interview: “We're all people. We're all Americans,” he said. “[We should] be able to see past those political lines that divide us and really understand each other for the people we are and not let ideology or political views tear us apart.”
While in D.C., our students and faculty members will partake in a variety of activities including listening to oral arguments at the United States Supreme Court; meeting with Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Ruth Bader Ginsburg; participating in the Women’s March; attending the inaugural ball dinner; and interviewing people at the inauguration for a project called “Voices of the Mall.”
