The generosity that LJCDS alumni show their alma mater through volunteerism, mentorship and philanthropy is immeasurable. The donations of time, talent and treasure enhance and advance both the alumni program and the school as a whole in perpetuity. Alumni contributions to the Country Day Fund (CDF), LJCDS’s annual fund, not only demonstrate deep gratitude for the community that helped raise them but also a continued faith in the school’s mission: to prepare individuals for a lifetime of intellectual exploration, personal growth and social responsibility.
Established in 2016, the Senior Class Gift marks the first gifts given to LJCDS by members of the graduating class. The collective gift serves as a show of appreciation for the people and programs that helped shape and support younger Torreys. In conjunction with senior class gifts, a match was established by a generous LJCDS family. Three class years still have an active match— Classes of 2016, 2019 and 2020— up to $50 per gift per year!
Alumni give back not only to show appreciation for their years as students, but also to ensure that generations of Torreys enjoy the same opportunities they experienced.
It’s not the amount of the gift that matters—it is your participation that sends your message of gratitude and support. Gifts of any amount make an impact and contribute to the LJCDS community’s spirit of philanthropy.
