The Senior Class Gift is a meaningful tradition, originally envisioned by La Jolla Country Day School lifer, current parent and Board of Trustees president, Lucy Smith Conroy ’90.
Established in 2016, the Senior Class Gift marks the first gifts given to LJCDS by members of the graduating class. The collective gift serves as a show of appreciation for the people and programs that helped shape you and supports the Torreys following in your footsteps.
The Class of 2020's Senior Class Gift benefitted the Community Support Fund
, launched to help LJCDS families most affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The fund aims to help those students and families remain part of our LJCDS community. Members of the Class of 2020 banded together in extraordinary fashion, showing a generosity of spirit emblematic of La Jolla Country Day School students.
If you have yet to give but would like to be a part of this exceptional effort, you still can! With your support, those students can continue to benefit from the same remarkable education you received.
Thanks to the generosity of the Rooney family, every gift given by a member of the Class of 2020 was matched up to $50 dollars per gift during 2019-2020, and will continue to be matched for the 2020-2021 school year. That means that when you give, your impact is doubled!
When you make your gift, do so in honor of a teacher, coach, mentor or program that influenced you. When you do, a card will be sent notifying them of your generosity.
We are so grateful for your philanthropic support. Congratulations on graduating and welcome to the Torrey Alumni family!
