La Jolla Country Day School graduated 128 members of the Class of 2015 on Friday, May 29 in the amphitheater filled with faculty, staff, members of the board of trustees, families, friends and special guests.
Donned in blue and white, seniors sat together on the stage as they gazed out at the audience who were beaming with pride and joy. They listened to speakers Ben Codon ’15, Niki Mani ’15, Interim Head of School Dr. Judy Fox, Director of College Counseling Karen Elitzky, Upper School Director Dr. Greg Martin and English teacher Robin Stewart whose messages focused on both reflection and well wishes for the future.
Three awards were presented to members of the class. Olivia Martin received the Trustees’ Award for achieving the highest cumulative grade point average. Natalia LaSpada accepted the Head of School Award for earning the second highest cumulative grade point average. The Faculty Prizes were presented to Zachary Domanico, Natalia LaSpada and Olivia Martin, who have best demonstrated the ideas and spirit of La Jolla Country Day School through effort and character, scholarship, arts and athletics.
Following the presentation of diplomas, each member of the Class of 2015 followed the longtime tradition of ringing the historical bell. We wish the Class of 2015 all the best in the next chapter of their lives! Congratulations to our scholars, artists and athletes of character.
