Two Torreys Chosen for McDonald’s All-American Team

ESPN announced two LJCDS women’s basketball players earned spots on the all-star team.
Congratulations to Breya Cunningham ’23 and Jada Williams ’23 who earned two of the 12 coveted spots on the West roster in the 2023 McDonald's All-American Game. Both players join the most prestigious high school basketball all-star game in the country. ESPN2 will air the game on March 28 from Houston.

Only 24 women are chosen each year from across the nation. This is the first time two Torreys made the same roster. Fewer than 10 girls from San Diego have ever been chosen. Five of those are from LJCDS. The other players named to the McDonald’s All-American team were Candice Wiggins ’04, Kelsey Plum ’13 and Te-Hina Paopao ’20.
