LJCDS partners with SAGE Dining Services® to offer high-quality nutritious meals for our students in kindergarten and Grades 1–12.
Mealtime at school is an important part of the student life experience. The all-inclusive lunch offers a variety of allergen-free options and plenty of healthy choices every day. From fresh salads to a sandwich bar to hot entrees, everything is homemade and fresh.
SAGE Dining Services® is committed to serving the freshest food, sourcing local ingredients when possible and cooking primarily from scratch.
The SAGE Spotlight Program® helps students make informed decisions. Color-coded dots, marking variety, balance and moderation, are assigned to all menu items to help guide student decisions. LJCDS's lunch program encourages a healthy relationship with food that is both fun and nutritious. Learn more about nutrition with SAGE. And read their blog with entries from nutritionists complete with recipes, cookbook reviews, food trends and ideas on menu planning.
Allergens: SAGE does not serve peanuts or tree nuts. They do not serve products that “may contain”, “are made in the same facility as”, are “made on shared equipment”, or “processed in a facility that also processes” peanuts or tree nuts, unless they are able to verify that these products are truly safe. Click here for more information on SAGE's approach to food allergies.
Food Service Director Justin DePaola will be off campus fulfilling his duty as part of the United States Coast Guard Reserves until December 15. Questions about the lunch program can be directed to culinary support team member for SAGE Dean Fuller at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs Colleen O'Boyle at email@example.com.
