On October 17, 2015, the unthinkable happened. Tony Lee was in Hawaii swimming long-distance to the Mokulua Islands when a tiger shark bit both his legs and would not let go. He survived and has responded to this tragic event by inventing prosthetic devices for vets that have lost limbs in battle and victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Tony has been working with the Challenged Athletes Foundation to help others afford specialized prosthetics and equipment needed to compete in sports who might otherwise not be able to have opportunities to participate. His story was featured on the National Geographic channel and on Animal Planet.
