Juniors, seniors and one faculty member were inducted into the Cum Laude Society.
Twenty-four outstanding La Jolla Country Day School students and one faculty member were selected to be inducted into the Cum Laude Society this year based on their academic, athletic and extracurricular activities and achievements. The society’s motto is “Areté, Diké, Timé,” Greek for “Excellence, Justice, Honor.” These juniors and seniors are not only among the highest academic achievers in their grade, but they are also heavily involved in the LJCDS community, as well as the greater San Diego community.
Some of the students’ incredible accomplishments during their at LJCDS include: created and led organizations on campus, designed apps, spearheaded conservation efforts in foreign countries, and built businesses and created product ideas. The Cum Laude Society’s new inductees are leaders in the LJCDS community, not only because they have founded and been leaders in numerous on and off campus organizations but also because of their dedication to service and bettering the community as a whole.
