Jessica Wilson–Jones ’10 is honored by New America for being a leader in national security and foreign policy in the Middle Eastern and North African American community.
The Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) American community is filled with talented individuals, but this community often hasn't been included as a visible part of the national security and foreign policy workforce. The contributions of 30 MENA American leaders, including Jessica Wilson-Jones ’10, were highlighted by New America.

“Jessica Wilson-Jones is a Foreign Affairs Officer for the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. She coordinates the Department’s foreign assistance programs and policy in Syria leading efforts across the interagency. Previously, she served in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs managing programs in Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. During the Obama Administration, she was appointed to the Department of Homeland Security Office of Policy, leading the advancement of national security and cybersecurity in the MENA region.”
