We proudly congratulate the 124 graduates of the class of 2022.
Kudos to the 124 graduates of the class of 2022 who were honored during the La Jolla Country Day School commencement ceremony on Friday, June 3, at Petco Park. Altogether, they received over 590 college acceptances and will attend 75 different colleges and universities, including four internationally. LJCDS is also proud to recognize 22 lifers from the class of 2022. Our lifers have called LJCDS home for 13 or more years.

After Head of School Gary Krahn, Ph.D., welcomed the class of 2022, Upper School Humanities Educator Corbin Prychun gave the faculty address and Student Council Co-President Terentin Tran gave the student address.

Three awards were announced during commencement. Khalil Desai earned the Trustees’ Award, presented by Board of Trustees President Karen Deschaine, for achieving the highest cumulative grade point average of the graduating class. Sohan Chunduru earned the Head of School Award, presented by Dr. Krahn, for achieving the second-highest cumulative grade point average. Head of Upper School Tom Trocano presented the Faculty Prize to Emily Bernstein and Aidan Ideker. This prize is awarded to two seniors who, through effort, character, scholarship, arts and athletics, have best demonstrated the ideals and spirit of La Jolla Country Day School.

Congratulations, class of 2022! We can’t wait to see how you inspire greatness for a better world.
