Kelsey Plum Throws First Pitch at Dodgers Game

And the WNBA star also connects with fellow Torrey and MLB star Tommy Edman.
LJCDS alumna Kelsey Plum ’13 added another memorable moment to her remarkable career on Saturday, June 20, 2026, when she threw out the ceremonial first pitch before a game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

Now playing for the Los Angeles Sparks, Kelsey took the field in front of thousands of fans as part of the pregame festivities.

The visit also provided an opportunity to connect with a familiar face from the LJCDS community, fellow alumnus Tommy Edman ’13, who plays for the Dodgers.

From the basketball court to the baseball diamond, Kelsey’s appearance at Dodger Stadium was a memorable moment for the LJCDS community. Seeing two Torrey alumni together—one an Olympic gold medalist and WNBA champion, the other a World Series champion and NLCS MVP—highlights the impact LJCDS graduates continue to make in professional sports.
