Parent Engagement

LJCDS is more than a school; it’s a community for the whole family. Families are more than spectators in their child’s education—they are part of a vibrant network of parents, grandparents, educators, and students who learn, grow, and celebrate together.

Parents and guardians are invited to get involved in ways that feel right for them. Feed your curiosity at a parent education workshop, show your school spirit by cheering at a game or clapping at a play, lend a hand by volunteering behind the scenes, or connect with fellow parents over coffee.

There are countless ways to engage. Whether it’s five minutes or five hours, every contribution makes a difference. Every moment invested in the LJCDS community—big or small—helps shape a meaningful experience for all.

Why Parent Involvement Matters

When parents are engaged, students thrive. It strengthens the bond between home and school, builds lasting friendships among families, and creates a richer, more connected school experience. Being involved also gives parents a firsthand look at what makes LJCDS special.

Parents Association

Every LJCDS parent and guardian is a member of the Parents Association (PA), a built-in group that keeps families connected and informed. The PA organizes meetups and special events and provides updates on school initiatives, programs, and ways to get involved. It’s a welcoming space for parents to stay engaged and build community.
