Blue Bash

Every spring, the Parents Association, in partnership with the development office, hosts an evening fundraising event. Blue Bash raises money for financial assistance, professional development, endowment and Parents Association activities. Donors may contribute in different ways, including purchasing sponsorships or tickets to the event, participating in the silent and live auctions, and raising paddles in support of our funding priorities.

Tuition Assistance

LJCDS is committed to enrolling the most talented students regardless of their financial background. We strive to maintain a balanced, diverse community representing a variety of cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Need-based tuition assistance is available for students who impact our campus as scholars, artists and athletes of character.

Professional Development

The LJCDS faculty and staff are the heart and soul of our school. Professional growth opportunities provide enrichment that directly impacts the classroom. From conferences to global excursions, these experiences allow our faculty and staff to keep up with current trends, and bring new ideas and innovations back to our students.

A strong endowment provides LJCDS with a steady source of revenue, which supports all aspects of the school. Unlike CDF gifts, which are used to fund the school’s operating costs, the principal of an endowment gift is preserved and provides income in perpetuity. Endowed funds are invested and independently managed. The finance committee, in partnership with the head of school, CFO and board of trustees, oversees the investment policies and procedures. All surplus funds generated from the Parents Association will be donated to the school’s general endowment.
