History of Excellence

La Jolla Country Day School (LJCDS) has a rich tradition of athletic excellence on the field, court and in the pool. State-of-the-art facilities combined with a passionate and dedicated coaching staff and student participation rates that are among California’s highest have led the Torreys to unparalleled success over the last decade.

The athletic department proudly competes in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), San Diego Section. For most sports, LJCDS competes in the Coastal League of the Coastal Conference.

La Jolla Country Day School won its first athletic championship in 1966.
