The inaugural Arts Hall of Fame class will be recognized together with the LJCDS Alumni Awards recipients during Centennial Alumni Weekend on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Eligibility Qualifications
A person can qualify for the Arts Hall of Fame by falling into one of the following categories:

Performing Artist: A graduate of LJCDS who participated in the arts at LJCDS and/or is or was a professional performing artist, and has been out of high school for a minimum of 10 years.

Visual Artist: A graduate of LJCDS who participated in the arts at LJCDS and/or is or was a professional visual artist, and has been out of high school for a minimum of 10 years.

Arts Professional: A graduate of LJCDS who participated in the arts at LJCDS and/or is or was involved in the arts in a professional capacity, and has been out of high school for a minimum of 10 years.

Arts Educator: A retired LJCDS arts faculty or staff member.

Friend of the Arts: A loyal friend and supporter of the arts program at LJCDS.
Selection Process

Hall of Fame inductions will take place every other year.

Nominations can be submitted at any time by anyone.

Nomination forms can be submitted online.
- The committee will review the nominations before making its selections.
- All individuals nominated and not chosen will remain eligible for consideration in future selection cycles.
Arts Hall of Fame Committee Members
The Arts Hall of Fame Committee consists of seven members including the LJCDS arts director, a current member of the arts department to be appointed by the arts director, a retired member of the arts department to be appointed by the arts director, the Arts Alliance president or their appointed representative, the alumni director/manager, the head of school or their appointed representative, and an LJCDS graduate appointed by the alumni director/manager.
All committee members will have full voting privileges concerning committee action. The current arts director will act as chairperson of the committee.
