Coach Bamford Makes History
Women’s basketball coach reaches new heights.
She shoots... she scores! Coach Terri Bamford is the CIF San Diego Section’s all-time wins leader in girls’ basketball with 727 victories (and counting)! The record was broken on Friday, Dec. 6, with a 42-39 home win over Stockton St. Mary’s, overtaking Jay Trousdale with his 726-286 record in 35 years as leader of the Poway Titans. Coach Bamford now ranks No. 8 all-time in the state.
Since 1997, Coach Bamford has guided her LJCDS teams and players to numerous championships, accomplishments, and accolades.

Coach Bamford has never made the program about herself and will always give credit to the players, but her own accomplishments add up to an impressive legacy.

- 2020: Women’s Basketball Coaches Association High School National Coach of the Year
- 2012 and 2001: ESPNHS Cal-Hi Sports Girls State Coach of the Year
