Centennial Founder’s Day Celebration

Students will step back into 1926 as we honor LJCDS founder Louise Balmer on her birthday. As they learn about the history of The Balmer School, which was renamed La Jolla Country Day School in 1955, and moved to our current location in 1961, students will explore a centennial newspaper, write a letter to Mrs. Balmer, eat a 1920s-inspired lunch, and satisfy their sweet tooth with a visit to a retro 1920s candy shop on campus!
