Torrey Football Report - DIVISION IV CIF CHAMPS!!!
Dear Loyal Torrey Football Fans,
For the second time in three years, your Torreys are CIF CHAMPIONS! The Torreys (11-3) defeated Santana (8-5) 38-24 to finish off four straight tough wins over big Division 4 public schools.

We have now qualified for the state playoffs! We will HOST the Division 5-A Southern California State Regional Championship on Saturday night at 7:30 vs. Arroyo High School (13-1, El Monte, CA). After we win this game we will HOST the Northern California winner of East Nicolaus vs. McClymonds next Saturday night (12/17) at 6:00 pm for the Division 5-A State Championship!
We also have some more broken records! Braxton Burmeister ’17 broke the CIF San Diego single season record for total yards (5,258) and passing TDs (48) and he is only 54 yards from the single season passing yards record and 11 completions from the single season completions record. Braxton currently leads THE STATE in total yards and passing attempts (434). Our team is #1 in San Diego in points (623), passing yards, and total yards; IN THE STATE, the Torrey Raid offense ranks #8, #4, and #11 in points, passing yards, and total yards.
We look forward to continuing this magical run and hope to see you out at Country Day’s first ever home state playoff football game on Saturday night at 7:30!
