Alumnae Women Athletes Honored

The San Diego Union-Tribune highlights phenomenal San Diego women in sports, including Kelsey Plum ’13 and Candice Wiggins ’04.
The San Diego Union-Tribune celebrated the centennial anniversary of the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment in America, granting women the right to vote, by highlighting outstanding San Diego women in sports.

LJCDS alumnae Kelsey Plum ’13 and Candice Wiggins ’04 were both featured.

“The San Diego Union-Tribune and the Women’s Museum of California are celebrating a century of female achievement in San Diego to mark the 100th year of women’s suffrage in America.

The fourth installment of this series pays tribute to women in sports who have broken barriers, accomplished great feats and excelled in their respective fields, paving the way for those who followed.”
