Welcome to the Parents Association of La Jolla Country Day School!
As a parent or guardian of an LJCDS student, you are now a member of the Parents Association (PA). Our purpose is to strengthen our community and enrich the LJCDS experience for your family. We hope you will join us for our monthly meetups, and we encourage you to get involved on campus in a way that is meaningful to you.
The PA sponsors events highlighting many different aspects of Torrey student life, giving you the opportunity to work with other members of our community in support of our students and the faculty and staff at LJCDS. We provide support for community events planned by our parent volunteers such as our annual back-to-school picnic Torrey Fest
, athletic Booster Club cookouts, the annual Blue Bash
gala, faculty and staff appreciation luncheons, and the Country Day Arts Alliance movie nights. You will be able to find an event that interests everyone in your family!
Our monthly PA meetings, or meetups, provide information about upcoming events, improvements to the campus, and updates on faculty and curriculum. We provide speakers in support of community education and wellness and showcase many student-involved activities. The dates for 2019-2020 PA events and meetups will be available at registration and on the PA webpage.
During online registration, you will have the ability to sign up for various event committees or for one-time volunteer opportunities on campus. The PA board will also be present at registration to answer any questions you may have. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
or Community Volunteer Coordinator Alaleh Miramadi at email@example.com
with any questions or for information on upcoming events and how to volunteer. You can also follow us on Instagram @ljcds.pa
. We have some fun events planned for the school year and we hope you will find time in your schedule to get involved and get to know the other wonderful families at LJCDS.
We look forward to meeting you!
